Question 1

Does it press on the back of my head?

Accepted Answer

It sits lower than most claw clips, and the tooth ends are rounded, not pointed. It’s low, not flat: for the headrest, the Clasp goes flatter.

Question 2

Will it hold fine or thick hair?

Accepted Answer

It holds a gathered section. On very thick hair, take a smaller section.

Question 3

How is it different from the Clasp?

Accepted Answer

The claw opens and closes with a spring, the way you already know. The Clasp has no jaw: two flat halves meet through your hair. The claw sits lower than most claw clips; the Clasp sits flatter still.

Question 4

Which one should I take?

Accepted Answer

Take the claw if you like the familiar gesture and want a low profile. Take the Clasp if you want to lean your head back against something.
